Guidance on funding, internships, and training opportunities.
Does the funding for academic studies cover accommodation, book fees, and tuition? What can the CDP Fund cover for Academic Studies?
The academic studies application will require submission of a financial assistance request table outlining the list of items the applicant is requesting funding for. An approved application and financial assistance request will be covered by the CDP Fund.
Can a high school or undergraduate student do an internship with the PNA Office?
For non PNA fisheries staff seeking an internship or attachment with the PNAO, it is recommended to first gain experience and build up understanding in fisheries by interning with the National Fisheries. Internship and attachment with the PNA Office prioritizes PNA national fisheries staff members.
I am interested in a training that is conducted by another organization. Can I apply for funding from the CDP to attend the training?
Yes. The approval process will be guided by the CDP Roadmap and whether the type of training pursued is a need of the Parties. The condition of attending trainings outside of the PNAO is to do a knowledge-sharing upon conclusion of the training. This can be in any form of your choosing: applying your training at one of the PNA national fisheries, or conducting a short training workshop for PNA fisheries staff where the skills are relevant to their role.
