The PNA CDP Fund is an investment by the PNA members towards increasing human resource capability and capacity of their people to undertake work that is needed to further develop the PNA tuna industry.
The vision of the CDP is to develop the capacity of the PNA nationals to become internationally recognized experts in fields that will be of use in the sustainable management and development of tuna fisheries, nationally and internationally.
The CDP Fund Policy is divided into two categories based on its intention and purpose. The first is technical assistance where the focus is to enhance the skills and knowledge of PNA national professionals currently working in a PNA National Fishery or other professions related and vital to the development of the tuna industry. The second is academic assistance where the focus is providing financial support to PNA national students and/or professionals furthering their studies in fields that are of importance in supporting the sustainable management of the PNA’s tuna industry.
